Believe you me, I have been trying to get online for the past couple days, but Fox Internet has been extremely poopy, so I have had to endure agonizingly slow connections, which I had only the patience to put up with for about twenty seconds before disconnecting and sitting in my chair in disgruntled rage. ^___^; But now I'm here, belatedly, but better belated than never. Har har.
Well, what did I haul in? For Christmas, this is what I got. I received StarFox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet, Evolution Worlds, Animal Crossing, a MP3 player, a new jacket, new shoes, a nail care kit, three long sleeved shirts (I have been going off the wall for warm clothing, since I tend to dress like it's summer year round, and this is WASHINGTON we're talking about), a Gir plush, a $10 gift card to Hot Topic, two candles, and... CHI BALLS! XD I love these things, man! Woo, look at 'em go! I'm getting pretty good at manipulating them, too. :D Oh, wait, excuse me. I mean, they're Anti-Stress Health Orbs. *rolls eyes*
My parents are such losers for telling me we couldn't afford Christmas. I'm still angry about that. As if playing with my materialistic emotions was just a way of passing the time. Oh well. I got my mom this giant stuffed ladybug and my dad a George Thorogood CD along with the VHS Tora Tora Tora.
For most of Christmas break I have been playing video games and occasionally remembering to do homework. Oh, and I also borrowed a new book from Gen-chan (who has not even gotten to read it herself), Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. It's trippy. Very much so. About pizza delivery, Sumerian myth, and the Metaverse. o_O I acquired a headache reading the first thirty-seven pages of it, then finished it by the second day. XD It was excellent. I love the protagonist's name. His name is Hiro Protagonist. XD XD XD *ahem*
What did I do for New Year's? Well, around 10:18 PM I finished the book I was just talking about, then I hung out with my Animal Crossing friends for a little while. Then, before midnight, I went to bed. And woke up promptly when my neighbors on the street over and at the Waterfall Apartments started setting off firecrackers.
I'm really, really, REALLY not much of a party animal. When night falls, so do Pammy's eyelids, let me tell you.
Michael Crichton hurts my brain, foo'. And not in a way that is fun or, at the very least, mildly entertaining. Except for Sphere. But that was all. And I can't believe you're going to get the new Pokémon game! That's no fair-- I mean... only babies would play with Pokémon. Yeesh.
Pam: *thinking* Heheheh, I fooled 'em good!
Hydro: ...I'm sure you think you did.
I just realized that I need to go out and find the complete set of The Planet of the Apes movies. I cannot, absolutely cannot go on living without knowing what happens to George Taylor. All I remember after the first movie is the one with the A bomb beneath the earth, but that was all. I know I've seen more, but I can't recall anything else for the life of me.
Note to self: Find anything with Hugh Grant on it and promptly lick it.
Also, my new anime love is Great Teacher Onizuka. XD My favorite character is Pee-Pee Boy. Er, I mean, Yoshikawa Noboru. He's so abused, and yet so cool. (Gamers unite!) But Onizuka is hilarious himself. XD
Lately I think I've become more antisocial. If not antisocial, at least a bit more disgruntled about my social lot in life. I refuse to play the fifth wheel any longer. I will not be the Tag-Along or the Shadow no more. I am tired of people taking my friendship and my presence for granted. I am nobody's bitch. I'm not even a bitch. Grr.
I've said my piece, and now I'm done. With that, anyway. I'm bored out of my skull.
Hydro: But only boring people get bored, Pam. ;D
Pam: You hush. You just hush, Mr. I'm-Too-Good-For-Your-Stories-So-I'll-Just-Kill-Your-Muse.
Hydro: Hey, writer's block is a natural part of writing.
Pam: Not for this long. >:O
Hydro: Well, you wrote in The Silver Talons today. Isn't that good?
Pam: Bah. Barely a page.
Hydro: Well, then. I'll just go and shoot myself in the foot. Or something.
Pam: I'm so happy for you.
Well, 'tis time to catch up on blogs, webcomics, and other assorted things. Possibly along the lines of downloading some fresh tunes because I'm sick of hearing "One-Winged Angel" three thousand times a day. OK, so that's actually impossible, and as much as I like songs sung in Latin it just gets too old too fast.
winamp: Driver's High by L'Arc~en~Ciel
This is the theme song for GTO, and currently one of my favorites. XD I am the coolest driver's high!
