Wait, Mario can run? oO;; I don't.... remember that....
Noooooo!!! >_< I'm at Booster's Tower in Super Mario and the Legend of the Seven Stars, but I can't make that vital jump. It's just... not working!

Don't tell me the game's not working right up until here! I don't even get to crash the wedding, for cryin' out loud!

Poe-kun, it's... not saving. ?_? How do I save the game? Do I do it normally like I would on an SNES, or do I have to save the state or what? Because it didn't save.... >_>;; I feel so stupid.
Ugh, tired, so tired....

Gen-chan spent the night Friday night at my house. We played mostly The 11th Hour (and it annoyed the hell out of us, Stauf, you stupid bitch), and then we went Christmas shopping, which was surprisingly successful. Now I just need to buy gifts for three more people. I only have twenty dollars left, too, which means I have to wait for some more money to accumulate before I go shopping again. Near Christmas time I should have fifty dollars, which will hopefully be enough.

I had a dream that I didn't gert a GameCube for Christmas. A little disturbing, but I mean, it wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't get one. Besides... I know we probably can't afford it. My dad's getting "laid off" for two weeks in December. Well, Sea Lect Products (which, ironically, make airplane parts for Boeing), has a "temporary shutdown" every December, it seems. Which is decidedly inconvenient.

I don't want to go back to school. I was getting used to this kind of life.

"What do you get when you cross the cuddly cute characters of a game like Pokémon Gold with the do-my-bidding gameplay of a title like Black & White? You might get something like Pikmin--if you're lucky. Created by The Legend of Zelda auteur Shigeru Miyamoto, Pikmin is an action-strategy game in which you play as a Tom Thumb-sized spaceman who has crash-landed among a race of sprouts with legs (or are they flowering ants?). You'll find the sprouts friendly, helpful, and more than willing to team up to move obstacles, defend your base camp against predators, and bridge impassable gaps so that you can find the necessary materials to fix your ship and return home."
I know it seems silly, but my heart is thumping with happiness when I see this. Divine Being, I would love to get this for Christmas, as well as this, if those were the only gifts I got.

Gen-chan, I called, but no one picked up. ???

Eh... I thought Jim-bob was going to call us...? I'll still check in. I'll give you her number if you want it. I'm too logy to call tonight. Still digesting lunch. I'll send you The Story tomorrow or give it to you when I see you. Or something. I think I wrote about 2-3 pages. Not sure, though; I may have sent you the updated copy and then forgot that I did. ~_~

Ah... I beat Majora's Mask.....

SPOILERS.... (Highlight below.)

It was pretty pitiful. Ganondorf, from the Ocarina of Time, was harder. <_< And he only had two stages. Majora's mask had three. XD But the last stage was pretty hilarious; I mean, it danced and ran around. Fierce Deity Link kicked ass. I didn't get more than two hearts taken off. In fact, I don't think I even got hurt by Majora; the only thing that hurt me was one of the Guardian Masks. ^^;; That's how nifty Fierce Deity Link is. Plus, his sword is uber-spiffy and big. *__*

I nearly cried at the ending, with the Skull Kid and the Mask Salesman part. <_< It wasn't that sad, but my hormones are in a stew, so.... the waterworks tend to flood a bit more often.

The part after I played the Oath of Order, when I got sucked up into the moon and appeared in that field.... That was... philosophical. oO;; Especially after you beat the mini-dungeons, those kids.... they asked things like... "What is the right thing...? And if you do the right thing.... does it really make everybody happy?" or "Are you happy...? What makes you happy... would it make other people happy, too?" or something to that extent. That kind of freaked me out.... The Goht Dungeon was frustrating but fun; XD I just love bouncing around....

When I talked to the final masked kid, a lonely l'il Majora, he said that since everyone had gone away, we'd play a game of good guys and bad guys, and that I would be the bad guy. Oo;; And another semi-philosophical question... "If you're the bad guy, does that mean you have to be on the run?" or something. Which isn't true, since a lot of stories and movies involve the "bad guys" as the powerhouse and the good guys being rebels that... well... rebel.

Oh well. It was a good game; much of it was difficult; especially getting all those Masks. You can only get the Fierce Deity Mask by getting all twenty non-transformation masks. And it's hard. Some of it was easy, but for only four dungeons, it took a long time. ^^;

And what sucked is that you never got to see Kafei grown up. >_< And I was expecting a longer ending after all that work. Still, Zora Link (or rather, "Mikau/Link") is really spiffy. XD I loved swimming through the waters; I could swim like a dolphin for ages if it wasn't for those damnable Like-Likes and dead fish thingies.

Overall, I didn't think the game was half-bad. In most parts it was a lot more challenging than Ocarina of Time; because of the stupid time constraints. It seemed like you were always pressed for time, even if you played the Inverted Song of Time, which slows time down. Also, I think some of those games were rigged, like the Bombchu Gallery game. -_-## I swear.... I spent over 200 Rupees at that place, and each game is only 10 Rupees.

END SPOILERS....

Now I'm very interested in continuing my Zelda fanfic. Funny how these things work.... Now I'm hungry for another game. Not necessarily N64. I'm kinda tired of all the games I have, because to be quite honest, I don't have many. Not many for N64, since Patrick sold most of them (I would really love to play Banjo-Kazooie and maybe even Diddy Kong Racing again; hell, DK Racing was my game....), and as for computer games... most of them are Maxis games (not that anything's wrong with Maxis, but I would like a change of pace), and Age of Empires was lent out to someone (Mike, I think) and he hasn't given it back yet....

And the computer cheats in Risk, so eh.... Besides, the actual boardgame is much more fun, I'm told. ^_^ We have two versions of it. I'll have to try it sometime.

Wow. I blogged a lot today. Now don't expect anything for a while, unless I get bored. I need ideas for The Story. Maybe I'll ask if my brother will let me watch him play Metal Gear Whatever for PlayStation2. Watching someone play a video game gives me inspiration. oO; I don't know why.

winamp: "Cat in the Kettle" by Unknown Artist
I think I'll play Majora's Mask now. That's what I love about this computer; I can plug my N64 into it and play video games. It's almost like having my own TV. Not that I really want one, but dammit, whenever I want to play video games or watch Whose Line? or some such, I can't because I'm the only person in this house who doesn't have her own TV. My dad has one, my brother has one, my mom practically lives in the family room with the TV, and me? Nothing but a dusty piano and a worn out Zule.

But I'm pleased to announce I lost about five pounds. I think the last meal I ate was on Saturday.... oO;; But don't get me wrong; I could never go anorexic; I just haven't been eating actual meals; just some fruit, juice, dried squid (great for chewing, makes you think you're eating more), and one bag of sunflower seeds (God, they hurt the tongue awful but they're addicting...)

By the by, I got a 4.0 for midterms. I pray that by the end of the semester I still have a 4.0. The only class I'm worried about dropping in is Geometry. oO; I got a D on the last quiz, but ONLY BECAUSE I use delta x over delta y for slope. >_< Dammit! I felt so stupid, but I knew it, just forgot......

Damn you and your Algebra reviews, Mr. Blazey.

It's not been a very good week, but I shan't bore you with the details. My head hurts too much and I'm hoping to get blog-reads over before the end of the year.

Majora's Mask is, in my opinion, one very tough game. I'm sure there are people who would argue with me, but I needed the walkthrough just to figure out how the hell to get those damnable Deku Scrubs to sell me Magic Beans. That's pretty sad. Plus, I needed Poe-kun's help with Heart Pieces, but those were hard to get anyway. @_@ (And what happened to the link to Sihoulettes...?)

As you probably guessed, my four day disappearance was due entirely to Majora's Mask. Not that it's a bad thing, no, because I'm sure people were getting tired of the same ol' bitching about school and people who annoy me. But it's sad; all I've got to do is collect the last mask and get those last four Heart Pieces before I'll try and beat Majora's mask. Now, I don't know if I actually have to fight the mask, or the person who's wearing it (since the mask flees to the falling moon after you play the Oath of Order, or so I read.)

Plus, I'm going to try that Chateau Romani specialized milk and see if my Magic Meter stays full. Fierce Deity Link! Whoo!

To everyone, have a happy Thanksgiving, and God bless caffeine. And "Napolean" (or "Neo-Politician") ice cream.

One thing I must say about Majora's Mask: it is hard. Especially if it's your first time playing it. My goodness. It's terribly confusing...

But I do like fighting Goht.... XD It's only one of two bosses I've fought, but it's so much fun. I didn't like the Deku Warrior boss person; he was one tough nugget. >_>;; Especially since it took me five freaking minutes just to figure out how to hurt him, then another ten to kill that sucker...

I must do homework now.

But I have to remind myself: No bounce, no play. ;)

It's almost depressing. Hydro hasn't talked to me in a long, long time. I wonder if this is a sign of bad things to come, or if he's just being a moody bitch. (Can't blame him, the rest of Chapter 8 takes place on good ol' Earth, and the last I heard from him he was bitching about me not "elaborating" on his situation.)

Argh. Somehow, this always keep slipping my mind. Expect an small update either this weekend, or a large one during Thanksgiving Break. Of course, that means that I have no plans and therefore no life, but sometimes it's good just to have time, because there's so very little of it when you need it the most.

Have you ever thought long and hard about something, only to realize that before you had begun thinking about it, it made sense? But after you really started pondering the thought, it became more and more confusing? I was thinking about the future, and that it was so far away, but then I realized that it actually isn't, and before I know it I'll be out of college and looking for my first full-time job, trying to make a living, find a mate, get married, have kids (or adopt; there are enough children in the world without me adding my own brats to it).....

God, it's scary. The future is scary. Not because it's unpredictable, but because it is.

Bird, I would deeply appreciate that. Yes, it's the right one. Thank you for being so thoughtful with helping me get back my missing songs. ^_^

It was an good day today. What I mean by a "good day" is that there was a lack of bad things, or very few bad moments. Which is pretty sad, since a good day should have a lot of good things going on in it. >_> Plus, I don't have a lot of homework (not two-three hours' worth, anyhow), so that helps.

And Whose Line is it Anyway? is on tonight! w00t!

Ms. Merrill suddenly turned into Queen of Bitches. Dealing with her is the pits and the shits. Last Friday she handed us an example essay to give us something to look on and understand the format she wants us to learn. It happened to be a freshman's rough draft. Well, nearly 99% of the class noticed two repetitions of a large mistake she made. In two of the sentences, the student wrote "would of" instead of "would have". I noticed it, but I was torn between raising my hand and telling her or just keeping quiet and correcting it on my own. Well, Neil, a good friend of mine, was the courageous one and raised his hand and told her. She suddenly just blew up at all of us, especially him, saying that we had no right to correct her, that we could MAYBE think about correcting her after we went through seven years of college and got a teaching degree or whatever. And she just raved on and on about how we were just students and didn't know what we were talking about, that we had no right to correct her. It was a GRAMMATICAL ERROR! She's a FUCKING ENGLISH TEACHER! SHE SHOULD HAVE SPOTTED IT RIGHT FROM THE GET-GO! IF 30 ODD STUDENTS CAN SEE IT, WHY CAN'T SHE?! She gave that damn, horribly boring paper an A FUCKING minus when it didn't even deserve a C! What's worse is that she went over the essay OUT LOUD, and she kept REPEATING "would of" when she got to it. (That was before Neil corrected her.) And I don't care if teachers don't like being corrected; she should've caught that mistake so the freshman wouldn't've repeated it the second time around. And yesterday, Neil pointed out that the whole point of the essay was to tell us what the book was about, but this kid just went on and on about the two main characters and really nothing at ALL about the stinkin' plot. And she blew up at him AGAIN, telling him that she's only going to expect perfect papers from him from now on, and I just want to punch her in her FUCKING face. I mean, I hate being corrected, but in a case like that, I'd take it more lightly because Neil had an EXCELLENT point. It just pisses me off how some people are so holier-than-thou. Plus, Ms. Merrill thinks everything's got to be HER way and HER way only; any other way is just WRONG WRONG WRONG.

If you're a teacher, GET RID OF YOUR HIGH-HANDED ATTITUDE ABOUT BEING CORRECTED. IF YOU'RE NOT OBSERVANT ENOUGH TO SPOT SUCH OBVIOUS MISTAKES THAT A WHOLE CLASS OF SUPPOSEDLY "UNEDUCATED" STUDENTS CAN SEE RIGHT FROM THE START, THEN DON'T BE A TEACHER!

We don't need to go through 7 years of college to know that it's "would have" instead of "would of." Neil never presumed to be smarter than Mrs. Merrill; he only pointed out a mistake she missed. There was no need for her high-handed, holier-than-thou spiel.

Neil didn't even correct her with an attitude; he was polite about it. Not many people like being corrected; I definitely don't like it, but if someone told me that in a polite tone and wasn't criticizing or contemptuous, I would be grateful. We all have to humble ourselves. But of course, this doesn't apply to certain Bitchy Teachers From Hell.

And today? Everything's been going wrong. It rained all day yesterday and all last night, pretty heavily, too, and the roads were flooded, the school grounds flooded. Then someone thought they'd be really cute and call in a bomb threat. So we stood out in the rain for nearly the entire 4th period (just before lunch for 2nd lunchers), and then they made us go into the auditorium only after we were sufficiently drenched. They kept telling us we could go to the cafeteria for lunch, but then some teachers told us No, we couldn't go there because the other teachers were wrong, and it's just been a horrible day.

The poster for my English project is soggy and limp, I have pounds of homework; so much that my binders can't all fit in my rather large backpack, and I pray that my brother is anally raped in a back alley where no one hears his screams for help and if they did, they wouldn't help him. Either that or he gets VD and dies a horrible, nasty, despicably long death.

No, in case you're wondering, it's not been a good week. I'm tired, angry, and ready to call it quits before I even graduate from high school.

If this isn't cute, I don't know what is. Or it could just be my absolute fondness for the l'il tyke, er, monster. ^^;;

I'm too tired to really care about anything right now, not even Geometry homework. I stayed up 'til 11 PM to watch the premiere of AbFab (it was definitely worth it) and didn't fall asleep until sometime in the wee hours of the morn. <_<; D'oh.

There's been a horrible, horrible accident, you see.

You deprive a person of Dr Pepper too long, and they eventually get so used to it that it no longer matters whether or not they have caffeine as long as they have Advil. But the biggest mistake is giving a recuperating addict a whole 24-case of Dr Pepper. You see, the shock is so much that sleep.... Heh, sleep doesn't come easy.

Making some progress. *points down*
Thanks, Sailoreagle, I'll definitely need to download this sometime today or tomorrow.
Trying not to blog too much. There's a lot to do this weekend. Aside from downloading and homework, absolutely nothing. But let's just pretend I have a life outside of school and computers, shall we? ^_^

I saw Ghost in the Shell last night on Starz! It cost me an hour of sleep, but it was a good movie. I liked Bateau. ^__^

It makes me want Dr Pepper too, Gillian-san. *sad face*

I've had time to cool off, rethink my angry statements, and basically chill. Besides, when you're stuffed with pizza and soda, it's hard to be angry at anyone, even a shitty ass brother.

Yes, Zeruely, that is my favorite AFI song. And I'm slowly getting my missing songs back. At least it's something to do this weekend (other than homework; perhaps combine the two...?)

But that's the problem, sp4f; this isn't my computer. My dad has his own computer, my brother has his own computer, but this computer is everyone's (but my mom, since she doesn't use computers). >_< It pisses me off. This is one of two computers that has internet connection, and my dad won't let my brother in his room, so my brother has to use this one.

...Which pisses me off since he doesn't deserve a computer in his room since he probably won't even be able to pay his insurance next week. Life in this family is not even close to fair. Looks like the greedy and stupid get all the spoils. >_<

I pray to whatever God(s) there are that I may pass my Geometry Proofs test with an A. Stupid logic. The damned portrait is in whatever box I say it's in, bitch! XD

Updates: Approximately 35 songs recovered out of an estimated 160. That's about 20-21%. ...Damn. But some of them I won't be redownloading simply because I was going to delete them eventually, and it's just an inconvenient way of letting me know which songs I actually want to keep. >_<

But, seriously, if anyone has the My Secret Garden Remix of "I Feel Loved," please please PLEASE e-mail me? Or if you just know where I can download it, because I forgot the URL of the site I got it from, and it's a pretty rare mix.... Please, I would very much appreciate it and worship at your feet.

Tuesday, November 06, 2001

I'm not going to blog until at least 90% of my songs are back, whether redownloaded or not. Let's say, as an estimate, 160 songs went missing. That's about 145 songs I need back. I will be crossing off songs as I get them back. Some of them are going to be damn hard to replace, especially the Depeche Mode songs.
FUCK. This is what's missing, and MORE. It's been a while since I last saved my recent playlist.

(Luckily, some of them I found on back-up drives, but not many songs that are missing were backed up.)

All of that. Is. MISSING.
*belch* Ah, them's good eating. Chili ain't chili until it's hot enough to roast yer hair.

How To Keep A Healthy Level Of Insanity (While Driving The People Around You Insane)

1. At lunch time, sit in your park car and point a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down.
2. Page yourself over the intercom. (Don't disguise your voice.)
3. Insist that your e-mail address is xena-goddess-of-fire@companyname.com or Elvis-the-King@companyname.com
4. Every time somkeone ask you to do something, ask if they want fries with that.
5. Encourage your colleagues to join you in a little synchronized chair dancing.
6. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "IN."
7. Develop an unnatural fear of staplers.
8. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.
9. Reply to everything someone says with, "That's what you think."
10. Finish all your sentences with, "In accordance with the prophecy."
11. Adjust the tine on your monitor so that the brightness level lights up the entire work area. Insist to others that you like it that way.
12.dont use any punctuation
13. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.
14. Ask people what sex they are.
15. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go."
16. Sing along at the opera.
17. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.
18. Find out where your boss shops and buy exactly the same outfits. Wear them one day after your boss does. (This is especially efective if your boss is the opposite gender.)
19. Send e-mail to the rest of the company to tell them what you're doing. For example: "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the bathroom."
20. Put mosquito netting around your cubicle.
21. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party because you're not in the mood.
22. Call 911 and ask if 911 is for emergencies.
23. Call the psychic hotline and just say, "Guess."
24. Contact the NAACP and ask them if they accept donations payable by confederate money.
25. When the money comes out of the ATM, scream, "I won! I won! Third time this week!"
26. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot, yelling, "Run for your lives, they're loose!"
27. Tell your boss, "It's not the voices in my head that bother me, it's the voices in your head that do."
28. Tell your children over dinner, "Due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go."
29. Every time you see a broom yell, "Honey, your mother is here!"
30. And the final way to annoy people........

Fuuuck. >_< I don't want to organize my English notebook. I hope I have everything she'll be looking for... >_> Ms. Merrill likes us to keep all of our assignments, yet when it comes time to check the notebooks, she's only looking for a few assignments. If you have them, you get an A. If you don't, then... you don't get an A. This is midterms we're talking about; I need this A.

Plus... Geometry test tomorrow. Goshdamn. >_< I have an A in Mr. Dumbas-- er, Blazey's class, but it's only a 95.6%. So I need to do good on this next test. My grade depends on it. Stupid proofs. >_< Graaar.

Say, Zeruely-kun, hook me up with that AFI clique, yo. I'm down with Dream of Waking. XD

One of the profound discoveries I made last night was that envious means coveting another person's things, and jealous means resenting new rivals or competition. The things we learn....

And the previous post.... I don't know why I brought it up, but we read this article in Mr. Leingang's science class (in 8th grade) about a guy who worked on an oil rig or something like that, and had to undergo eventual pressure changes as they lowered or raised him. Well! One time, he was using the bathroom, and someone forgot to do something to the pressure, and he flushed the toilet, and his intestines were pulled out of his body through his anus. Miraculously, he survived, but since the doctors had removed most of his intestines, in order to get nutrients, he had to eat a lot of meals during the day. Anyway, I brought that up while discussing feudalism and the effects of the Christian Church during medieval times. Don't ask why. And then, I think it was Amber, made some funny remark that I cannot, for the life of me, remember now, but it had her, Neil and myself laughing so hard we could hardly breathe. Michelle didn't understand how we could think it was so hilarious. I ended up having to go use the restroom, and on the way out of class, Michelle called out, "Don't let your intestines get sucked out by the toilet!" When I got back, I was still giggling. We laughed so much, I was afraid I'd rupture something.

Oh. My. GOD. No. Fuck no. Shit. ARGH. >_< Just now I tried to play some songs on my list, but turns out they're MISSING. They're not on the D: Drive at ALL. They were there last night, and now they're not. There's 150 songs MISSING.

150 files of music do NOT go missing overnight!!!!!!!

....God, this was Patrick's doing. I can feel it.
I don't know what's worse; talking about people whose intestines have been sucked out of their anuses due to pressure changes or laughing about it until we couldn't breathe.

I didn't see it coming. I really, honestly didn't. That's almost depressing. No, wait.... it is depressing.
It was a very long weekend involving K-PAX, TATU, and Vagrant Story. Now I must trundle off with a vicegrip on my right temple and hot lines of fire on my back. I may or may not blog very often anymore, seeing as my presence in the blog community is little more than a whisper while a train passes by.

This is why they're called games. He does make some good points about reaching the final plataeu of gaming, but... it's a game, and should be treated accordingly. Some people are obsessed (like I was), and some people just enjoy playing it because it's a game where you can design your own dream home or just screw around with people's lives like some lowly god.

It's not a religion, nor an infection. So don't rant about it like it is. Sure, people steal others' works for this game, but it's going to happen for anything put on the web, not just this game. Sure, some of the people who play this may be utterly antisocial, but that's their choice, and you've no right to discriminate against them for what they choose. If it doesn't hurt the masses, why not play?

Yet, to this person, this isn't a game, it's a crusade. "Few take the honorable path...." What honorable path? It's a friggin' game. There are people who pass off crap as real work of actual worth and deserving as such, but you'll get that from anyone. Whoever's shit does not smell, raise your hand.
I hate Katrina. She has the most godawfully annoying harpy voice known to man, and she's utterly rude 'n' crude. >_<## I want to kill someone, specifically her.

This weekend is much needed. Especially since I have a lot to do. >.>;

*cheers up immensely*

A cardbord Enterprise, eh? Funny you should mention that. At the motorcycle show at the South Hill Mall last Saturday, there was a very nifty Goldwing (or was it a Valkyrie?) with the Enterprise painted on it, and on the back it read "Captain Kirk and First Mate Lori." XD Some people combined their favorite hobbies. Like wicker-weaving and motorcycles. There was a motorcycle made entirely out of wicker on display. Even had a real engine in it. And also a pan to catch the oil. XDDDD That was the realistic touch for me. Harleys are notorious for dripping (especially when made out of wicker). I wish I had a picture. Damn. >_<

Don't you just hate it when you get an absolute craving for something, yet after you make it and are ready to eat it, you realize you don't want it anymore? I just boiled two eggs and now I don't want them. (Not because they're cholesterol bombs, but because I don't want to taste them.) What a waste. And no one else is home to eat them. >_>

Reminders:
TATU meeting from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday at Hunt Middle School.
Maybe go see Monsters Inc. Sunday with Amber/Jenny/Gen-chan/Whoever wants to go
Study for Dandelion Wine test
The doorbell only rang six times during my candy duty. That's not acceptable. We still have three bags of candy, all unopened, plus half a pot full of candy. >_<# And I wasn't being stingy; most people got three-five pieces each. Stupid damned terrorists ruining our spirits and our holidays....

Jenny is one of those ultimately selfless people. She went trick-or-treating last night and got ten pounds of candy. Seriously. Then she divided it into five portions, and gave one portion to me, Gen-chan, Rachel, and two other friends, and kept no large amount for herself. Plus she brought me a Dr Pepper today. Some people are just born selfless. I wish I could be as selfless as that. I can be kind, but not to that kind of extent. ~_~ It's almost self-deprecating.

Oh well. I had better start improving my moods so I don't lose all the friends I have. I like the friends I have. They are very spiffy.
